HORARY POINT: One of the five element points that is its own element. (ie LU-8 is the horary point of the lungs because it's the metal point in the 5 Shu points). The point can be tonified or sedated to receive or send energy to the organ on the opposite side of the clock
JING-WELL POINT - used for clearing heat, restoring consciousness and rescuing collapse • Emergency, unconsciousness. EXCESS: Fixed fist, body stiffness, Mouth, closed eyes, urine retention, constipation, no sweating, slippery and wiry pulse, white or yellow greasy coating • DEFICIENCY: Loose fist, soft or flaccid extremities, mouth, eyes open, incontinence and unable to retain stool, profuse sweating, deep thin and weak pulse, flaccid tongue • Treat uppermost reach of LI: Throat, toothache, deafness, tinnitus (like LU-11). • Treat fullness below the heart

YUAN SOURCE POINT: Dispel pathogenic factors • Treat the whole course of the LI channel (contraction, stiffness, and pain along the entire length of the LI channel from elbow, arm, shoulder, neck to back). • Move Qi (4 gates =LI4, LIV3 for Qi stagnation): PMS, depression with sighing a lot, hypochondriac pain • Move Blood: induce labor. Pain after childbirth (LI-4, SP6)
COMMAND POINT: Treat Face and Mouth issues (bells palsy, tooth problems, dental work pain, lower gum problems, acne)

LUO/ YUAN SOURCE COMBINATION (LU-9 and LI-6): Open and regulate the water passages • Treat acute edema, especially in the upper part of the body, with lack of sweating and difficult urination.
