Location
On the border where skin changes color • On the medial side of the foot • In the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone. First locate SP-3, then slide the finger proximally along the shaft of the first metatarsal bone until it reaches the depression at the base of the bone (approximately 1 cun).
Needling
Type: Perpendicular    Depth:  0.5 to 1 cun
Description: Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
