Etiology
Chronic illness, aging, poor diet, weak constitution and stress can all lead to Qi deficiency and blood deficiency. The heart is responsible for blood circulation. When there isn't enough Heart Qi to push the blood, then it leads to palpitations, a weak pulse, pale face, pale tongue, SOB, chest pains, etc. These symptoms get worse with exertion since movement consumes Qi.
