Indications: CHANNEL: Stomach Heat, 胃热 (4 Bigs, Persistent high fever, whole body perfuse sweating, server thirst and desire drink cold water, or irritability, restlessness or even coma, harsh breathing, red face, a dry yellow tongue coating, and a surging and large pulse.) • FU: Stomach/Intestine Fire, 肠胃生火 (high fever which peaked at 3:00 pm to 5:00pm, sweating only on hands and feet, mild thirst, abdominal pain and hardness which resistant to touch or press, severe constipation, or in coma, delirium, manic, irritable and insomnia. A thick dry yellow coating, or dark brown coating with thorns, and a deep and forceful pulse. [Qiao] • Wei Syndrome, flaccidity syndrome, acute appendicitis [42]

Etiology

Notes
Wei Syndrome, or flaccidity syndrome, is most prominently associated with the Yangming channels. Yangming is known for having an abundance of Qi and Blood, which is necessary to nourish the limbs and muscles. Damage or depletion of these substances can lead to the muscle weakness and atrophy characteristic of Wei Syndrome. [42]
